1.St. David’s Vacation Bible School – August 4th, 5th and 6th for pre-kindergarten through 6th grade. Evening begins with light supper (parents welcome!) at 5:45 – and includes singing, storytelling, crafts and activities – ending at 8:15 p.m. No charge and all are welcome. “Our theme this year is ‘The Armor of God.’
2.During the school year, St. David’s sponsors Theological Brew, a new Bible study for students and young adults; this past year we met on Thursday evenings at YiaYia’s Pizza (for pizza, microbrew, coffee or your favorite non-alcoholic beverage.) Our discussions have ranged from readings of Scripture to non-canonical writings (Gospel of Thomas, Gospel of Mary, etc.) Our focus is to better discern what it means to lead a Christian life by focusing on Christian writings. The program is in recess during the summer, and will resume in the fall – watch for coming calendar of events/readings.can also find information on our facebook page. 3St. David’s was proud to sponsor ‘Waters of Hope’ – an organization raising funds to drill water wells in drought stricken areas of Africa
4. Homestead Nursing Home Worship: On the 3rd Sunday of each month we have the opportunity to lead worship for residents at the Homestead Nursing Home at 2:30 p.m. St. David’s reaches out to the residents of area nursing homes through regular visitation and ministry.
